BOXES

Synthetic boxes

ETH-collateralized, oracle-priced baskets: SEMI6, CRYPTOEQ, SPYQQQ.

Synthetic boxes track a basket of equities without holding the underlying stocks. Each box is a standalone SyntheticBox vault: the vault itself is the ERC-20 share token, deposits are plain ETH, and share pricing comes from Chainlink-style stock/USD feeds plus the ETH/USD feed. Because synthetics only need a price feed, not DEX liquidity, they can cover a much wider menu of names than 1:1 boxes.

What you own

A synthetic box share is a claim on the ETH held by its vault, valued at the basket's oracle price. Shares redeem for ETH at NAV, capped by the vault's actual ETH balance. You are not entitled to the underlying stocks, and extreme ETH price moves against the basket can leave the vault with less ETH than the tracked value implies.

Fees

Synthetic boxes charge mint and redeem fees in ETH (30 bps each at launch, hard-capped at 2% in code, adjustable only through the timelock). Protocol fees feed the same TROVE buyback-and-burn path as the 1:1 boxes.

Interface labeling

The app labels every box as 1:1 BACKED or SYNTHETIC so it is always clear which trust model applies. The Reserves page only shows stock reserves for backed boxes; synthetic boxes show their ETH collateral instead.
